And my favorite, the dramatic eyeliner done with color:
My favorite is from a scene in Little Fockers when Jessica Alba first meets Ben Stiller's character and she's wearing a blue dress. Her (dramatic) eyeliner is done is a cobalt/nay blue that matches her dress and looks amazing! This is the best picture I could find, and it doesn't do her any good:
While organizing and going through my makeup container last week, I came across a brand new, never opened (bottle) of Almay Liquid Eyeliner. And even though I was in a t-shirt (probably one of my husband's) and a pair of sweatpants, I decided to try out the defined eye. Wow. I was so excited! It looked incredible!
So, when it came time to get dressed for a Saturday of errands and relaxing, I decided to give it a try again and blog about it. Most times you see the defined eye it's in a formal/evening setting. I did it for the day, and am happy with the results:
Here's an up close and personal:
The trick to keeping it day/casual appropriate is to keep the line super thin. Another secret is to wear it with at least one coat of mascara, as it will help to open up your eyes. I did both as well as using a neutral eye shadow shade with a sheen to it. Here is what I used:
From left: Almay Liquid Liner, BareMinerals Eyecolor in Celestine, and L'Oreal Double Extend Carbon Black Mascara. I highly recommend all three of these products!!!
I was very happy with how the dramatic eyeliner turned out for day:
