Precious and Few

This day 3 years ago I married my best friend, my confidant, my lover, my everything.  It was without a doubt the best thing I ever did.  I don't know where I'd be without him today.  He saved me.

Our Story
Drew and I worked together the summers of 2000-2002 at Sandy Cove Ministries in Maryland, but I can't even think of a time when we spoke 2 words to each other.  Which is funny because we had mutual friends, along with me dating his roommate! ;) Fast forward to February 2007 and MySpace.  We had a rocky start, I will take the fall for that, claiming I wasn't ready for a serious relationship.

The Lord spoke to me though.  Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) says "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." And this couldn't be more appropriate for me.

Our relationship was long-distance the entire time we dated and the majority of the first year we were married.  Drew was working in VA and at times PA, while I stayed in NJ.  We figured it was best for me to maintain my residency status in NJ for school, so he drove to NJ every weekend (except for Mother's Day 2007) to see me.

Engagement
May 10, 2008
North East, MD

This was a day I'll never forget.  Instead of studing for a Sociology final, I went with Drew to Sandy Cove (where we met) for a day trip for my birthday.  Well, he obviously had other plans.  After walking around the grounds and talking about the old days, we went back to his car for me to open my birthday presents.  He insisted I open the card first, for which he borrowed my pen to write... in it, it said "make me the happiest guy in the world." Instant tears. As soon as I looked up from reading it, there he was on his knees with a ring. And I cried YES!

We were married 5 months later!

Wedding
October 18, 2008
The Vandiver Inn
Havre de Grace, MD

We really wanted to get married at Sandy Cove, but they wouldn't let us.  I won't go there... So, the Vandiver Inn was recommended to me and we were sold! October 18th was my Grandpop Miller's birthday and was just the day I knew was meant to be. I won't write anymore, I'll let the pictures do the talking!

My brother E walked me down the isle. Trying not to cry here.

My mother in law and my mom.

My two brothers and my sister.

Without a doubt, October 18th, 2008 was the happiest day of my life.  I love you sweetheart and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.  You are my everything.
