When the Essie Luxeffects came out awhile back I told myself I didn't need them, that they weren't anything to write home about, and didn't buy any. Around Christmas I started seeing Pure Pearlfection on pretty much everything, so I bought it. The next in the collection to be purchased was A Cut Above so I could achieve my all time favorite mani, the Rose Gold Manicure.
Although I love the look of this manicure, it was not practical. In order to get the pink glitter to form a line, it took 2-3 coats, resulting in a bump which you can see in the pictures. I do like the ring and thumb application though and will be doing this on a number of manicures in the future.
This is {1} coat of basecoat, {2} coats of Zoya 'Zuza', {2-3} coats of 'A Cut Above' for the tips, and {2} coats of 'A Cut Above' on the ring and thumb finger.

love the glitter!
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan, it reminds me of rose gold, so I use it on like EVERYTHING.
